Whatever you need built, repaired, or renovated — you’re covered by Sonny’s.
I’m Tre’ Tucker, a service-disabled U.S. Marine Corps veteran and the owner of Sonny’s Renovations LLC. I run one company that homeowners, realtors, businesses, and government agencies can all rely on for honest work and craftsmanship that lasts.
Harold “Tre'” Tucker III • Sonny’s Renovations LLC • Fort Washington, MD & Washington, DC
The trade was handed to me before I was old enough to drive.
My name is Harold Tucker III — everybody calls me Tre’. I learned home improvement the old way: at my father’s side. His name was Sonny, and from a very young age he put tools in my hands and taught me how to do the work right the first time. Measuring twice, respecting a customer’s home, and standing behind everything you build — that’s where my standards come from, and it’s why the company carries his name.
I served in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic and completed two tours in the Gulf. That’s where my discipline and attention to detail were forged, and I carry both onto every job site today. But construction isn’t all I know about real estate. For more than 10 years I was licensed in both real estate and mortgage, and I picked up informal training with a home inspection company along the way. I understand a property the way buyers, sellers, lenders, and inspectors do — not just how it’s built, but what makes a deal close.
That moment is really how Sonny’s Renovations came to be. Between the trade my father taught me, my years as a realtor and in the mortgage business, and my time around home inspections, I know this game inside and out — how a home is bought, sold, financed, inspected, and built. Most contractors only see one piece of that. I see the whole picture, and it shows up in how I scope, price, and finish a job. I built Sonny’s to be the contractor I’d want working on my own home: licensed, insured, straightforward about pricing, and easy to reach. We’ve been serving Maryland and Washington DC since 2012.
Whether you’re a homeowner getting quotes, a realtor who needs a contractor that actually understands the closing table, or a company checking me out before we work together, this page is meant to answer your questions in one place — what I do, how I’m credentialed, and how to reach me.
The credentials, in plain terms.
Three kinds of clients. One standard of work.
From a single bathroom remodel to a government construction contract, every project gets the same licensed, veteran-led crew and the same accountability. As a general contractor, I also bring full trade support — partnered with licensed technicians in roofing, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical — so a complete scope is handled under one roof.
